After a long years back got a chance to have lunch at durga bhuvan one of the oldest non veg restaurant in pune nearby to kaka halwai sweets (pune). My grand father use to take my dad, and after 10-15 year today got a chance to go again with my dad at this old place, one of the best non veg food you get here the owners 3rd generation is running the business ......especially would suggest Mutton Masala.... The ambience is good.....service is good and then come important part food we had ordered Mini Mutton Thali....which cost u around 250 rs.....which includes Keema plate, Mutton rassa, Biryani plain rice, Mutton Masala, Chapati / Bhakari along with soalkadi.....taste is still the old times it has not changed, mutton cooked with gud amount of spices and masala will highly recommend try once......
I am basically from Mumbai. When visited to Pune first time with my husband he insisted me try Durga's food. I was not very happy with his decision. But when the food arrived and i tasted it, it was one of best cooked chicken dish i ever had. They have quiet good ambiance and also cleanliness is maintained overall. It's a very old hotel with great hospitality. One should definitely try here.

This is one of the oldest restaurant which still serves awesome non-vegetarian dishes. Located near Kaka Halwai, you may have seen the name umpteen times but it is always an exercise to go to this restaurant after crossing the heavy Mandai traffic and crowd and then walking upstairs using the narrow staircase.

Awesome thali. Kheema was slightly greasy but in a good way. We opted for chapatis instead of Bhakris. Which were too good.
Half Mutton Biryani - Mutton nicely cooked and the masala was proportionate to the rice.

We had gone way early in the evening and it was not crowded at all. The typical table bench seating with the counter on the extreme side. Dimly lit but reminds of the prosperity of the olden days. Clean tables and floor.

An old gentleman waited for us. Looked very well versed with the menu and suggested us the items.
